Editing Progress
Jan. 13th, 2011 01:59 amWell, it's been months so I probably should post an update on the progress of Storm's Honour. So far I've done a detailed edit/rewrite on about 30 pages and a skim edit on 129 pages. I've also done a plot time-line so I can see places where there are gaps in the pacing and where the plot is too busy.
Page 129 also marks the place where I need to rewrite the ending for the forth time. *sigh* Peter De Vries said, "I love being a writer. What I can't stand is the paper work." There are days when I fully agree. Tonight, as I wonder if I'll ever produce an ending that I remain happy with for more then a month, is one of those days.
Still, rewrites are part of the job I fear. I don't have to like it, but it won't fix its self. So I better get my butt in the chair and my fingers on the keyboard again.
After I get some sleep, that is.
